THE FOLLOWING STEPS are not necessarily in order.

FIRST study all the Standard Plans for ideas. Circle the plans and features you like. Use the process of compromise and elimination.

SELECT A STANDARD PLAN. You can also revise a Standard Plan to better meet your requirements. If a Regular Body (RB) van isn’t long enough you may want to go to the Extended Body (EB) or the Long Body (LB).

CONSIDER ADDITIONAL OPTIONS such as an A/C, furnace, toilet, larger refrigerator, etc.

NEED HELP? Contact us. An experienced Sportsmobile designer will be happy to work with you.

LAST STEP. Send a copy of your paperwork, cost sheets, etc. to us. We’ll review them for errors and add comments we feel may be helpful to you. Then we’ll return the material for your review.

READY TO ORDER? Please send a $1000 deposit. Upon receipt, we will phone you to again review your order. Keep in mind you can change most items on your conversion order up to two weeks prior to our starting production of your Sportsmobile.

FURNISHINGS

Can be deleted or added as you desire. See “Price Sheet” for cost differences.
See “Design Your Own” furnishings, cut-outs for drawings and dimensions.
If you are making a number of changes, it may be easier to start from scratch and “Design Your Own.” The cost will be about the same.

WINDOWS

Windows, with screens, shown on the plans are large awning windows. Window behind sliding door does not open.
They can be changed or deleted for credit.
Some baths show a small window. It’s a 15” x 18” slider.

STOVE/PROPANE SYSTEM

May be deleted for credit. Some plans show this deletion.

BATHS

Choice of electric flush Porta Potti that can stow in a cabinet. Or a built-in marine toilet and holding tank.
Showers can be stalls or combo models with toilet and sink.

PLENTY OF STORAGE

“We had more storage than we thought we would,” is a comment we often hear. Over the years, we’ve become very proficient in optimizing space.

Miscellaneous Items

Such as drink holders, assist handles, bungee cords for cargo, etc., can be added when you take delivery. These are no-charge items.

Seats & Beds

ALL Sportsmobile Seats/Beds

Are mounted on steel frames bolted through the van’s floor.
All include lap belts. Outboard seats that face forward have lap/shoulder seat belts. Ottomans do not include seat belts and are not to be used when traveling.

All include pillows.
Sportsmobile Seat/Beds comply with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).

For A Good Night's Sleep Sportsmobile uses the same best quality foam that the more expensive "big" motorhomes do. Seat/bed foam consists of soft foam laminated to very firm foam. Covers are quilted. This is a very comfortable combination that's been "comfort tested" over many years. The foam feels soft, yet provides good body support. Plus, you will not feel the cushion "cracks"

or upholstery buttons. The removable dinette back cushions can be slanted for comfort. Be sure to attach the retainer straps when traveling.

Sleep More Add an upstairs bed in a full-height top or Penthouse top (see Options). A small bed is also available for the cab (see Interior Options).

For Privacy bifold doors, accordion doors and curtains are available.

Storage is maximized under the seats and is easily accessible with hinge-up seat cushions and props. The fresh water tank will take up some if not most of the space under one of the seats, depending on tank size and the seat length.

These Seats

Convert from seats into a bed in seconds. The seat cushions slide out on steel roller tracks. Back cushions then drop into place.
Removable back cushions also slant for comfort.
Seat cushions hinge up, with props for storage access.
Dinette “L” seats will make two 30” wide single beds o slide together for one very large bed.

The Sofa & Couch

Easily swings up and out for the bed position.
For storage access, the seat front raises up, or use the door located in the seat front.
The Sofa has one outboard 3 point seat belt and two 2 point seat belts.
The Couch has two 3 point seat belts and one 2 point seat belt.
The Ottomans (O) do not have seat belts and are not for use during travel.

Platform Bed

Can be any height and length.
Mattress has vinyl on bottom side and can be in two or three sections, or you can supply mattress.
Storage compartments to your specifications.
Beds are not for use during travel.

Bunk Beds

Select up to four bunks.
Mattresses are separate with vinyl on bottom side. Makes good ground cushions.
Bunks can be any length, 24" or 27" wide.
Bunks are not for use during travel.
